About Me

Hi! My name is Edward and I’ve been investing since 2010. I started after reading an article about inflation and learning how it slowly reduces the value of money. At that time (and until now) the rate of inflation is higher compared to the net interest rates (after taxes) of the savings account I’m getting from the bank. I looked at it and thought to myself, wow, the money I’ve worked so hard for to save up is actually slowly losing value over time! I felt like I have to do something about it. At first I didn’t know what to do, so I started reading books, which I love doing, about investing. I tried a lot of investment strategies and philosophies during my first few years. Finally I settled on value investing after reading Benjamin Graham’s book “The Intelligent Investor”. It struck a chord and for me it just made a lot of sense. Most importantly, I had a lot of fun doing it.

I started this website primarily for three reasons:

  1. To have a place where I could write about things I’ve learned and books I’ve read.
  2. Store resources about investing that I find interesting and useful.
  3. Most importantly – To share them with others.
I felt incredibly lucky that I was able to learn from the investing greats, especially Warren Buffett. And I hope I could share what I’ve learned with you. Investing, like many things in life, can be done in a lot of ways. There’s no one-size-fits-all strategy and I encourage you to find the one that suits you. On this website I will mostly focus on value investing, since that is what I follow and know the most about, but from time to time I will also be writing about some general topics.
I will update the site with a new article, book summary or resource whenever I can so check back often! For book summaries, I will only write about those I have read from cover to cover.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do!
